what is the best way to curl long thick hair? what products do i use and do i start from the bottom up? ....or how?and how do i make it last

For tight curls use a 1/2" curling iron.

As you section off each piece lightly spray with a medium hold hairspray. Roll in the curling iron starting at the bottom and roll up towards the scalp. After you release the curl spray again.

Use medium rollers, buy the plastic snap on magnetic rollers and use a setting lotion. The curls will last much longer if you wet set your hair, but you can use the setting lotion anyway.
