Weird that you say you don't want it but then don't want to get rid of it either. You must already be wearing it up if you don't like it long anymore, then next step would be to cut it, do it in stages if you can't face chopping off lots of length at one go then.

Why can't you cut your hair? The only option that leaves you is to put your hair up. You can put it up in a bun, but I'm not fond of buns. There are other hair wraps that can make your hair look short and keep it out of your face. Hope this helps.
