i can't believe you haveasked this only the other day i was having this very same conversation with my husband and it got quite heated !!!

i fancied a change and wanted a short bob thats in at the moment and hubby went mad saying please don't cut off your hair, he said it's an old fash thing where girls have long hair and boys have short thats all there is to it !!!

Personally i think it's just something they can hang on to in bed !!! ha ha ha

They mostly prefer long hair. Most girls don't look good with short hair. You have to be petite, slender with delicate facial features and perfect bone structure to pull of short hair. I'm talking about *really* short hair here, like cropped pixie style. "Short hair" that is chin length or so can be more flattering on different types of people, but in general longer hair is more flattering on most women.

I think it depends. Girls with long hair that's stringy and unkempt do not look good. Older people look better with shorter hair. I'm 49 and was married for 8 glorious years until I lost my husband. So, all in all, I've been in the dating world a LONG time. NOT ONCE have I ever had a guy say that he liked short hair. [even if you look at match.com in the 60's and 70's age brackets you'll find these "mature" men desiring women [even in their own age bracket] with long hair. BUT not everyone looks great in long hair. Get a style that is up-to-date, a terrific color (I THINK COLOR IS INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT), and a cut that emphasizes your good qualities and EYES, and complements your figure/size/height!!
