How Long does take to Grow a long Hair?

I'm a Latin guy, I have this Military Hair Cut, but I want to have it longer.

How Long will it takes to do so?

I've seen average cited as 1/4" to 1/2" per month. Hair grows faster in the summer than in the winter. So it makes a difference whether you're north or south of the equator now. :-) I figure 2-3 months to collar-length in north, 4-6 months in the south.

What do you consider "long"? I consider "first long" as "touching the collar" and "second long" as "in your eyes" (if not combed back).

For guys, I consider "serious long" as when it can all be tied back. (For females, I consider "serious long" as when extra care must be taken when sitting down.)

Hair grows, on average, a half inch a month, so calculate from there. 6 months=3 inches of hair
