Go for Longhair, I have a biiger jaw not huge, blue eyes, and brown hair. I cut it short and well it doesn't work. Go for long, and straighten it.

Go crazy and cut it a little. You will have SO many more options. You obviously like to change up, and with a your hair a little shorter it will be easy to do that.

try first putting rollers in your hair it will give you volume and bouncy curls...it will look so cute you need a full set of rollers and double prong clips and a spray bottle...wash condition....spray head with light gel comb with shaping comb..start at crown use shaping comb or rat tail comb...comb section size of roller down head...take the sides put in butterfly clips to the side..make parts one base which means size of roller use rat tail comb make part ..roll at a 45 degree angle from the middle of the part secure with double prong clip..keep the roller on your base which is your part...once you reach back of head part from crown to middle of ear make sections roll the same way take note rollers will appear off base towards bottom of head...let dry take out rollers and you run fingers through ur hair you look cute like Jennifer Aniston

Although I've always found long hair on a man attractive as long as it is clean and well maintained it is not appropriate for some professional situations. Cut it if you think it is holding you back at work. Your looks will not suffer as long as you style it attractively.

Not that I really care, but I know in order to advance in life one has to be somewhat intune to style. I like to dress nicely and sometimes flashy (but not gaudy).

A lot of guys seem to have long hair nowadays. I still go for the messy spiked look with a goatee (but no mustache) and sometimes a "line beard" along the jaw line.

Don't change, honestly, sounds more like classic good looks. The "long haired" fellows are more into the modern thing but they're mostly younger guys, the look you're describing is more mature. Believe me, if my dad grew his hair like some of the guys i see now, I'd die laughing.

pff yes, if you want to be up to date, start wearing hollister and a%26amp;f, or skater stuff like element and dc, (a change up every few days is good), wear skater shoes-no nike or adidas crap, and grow ur hair out so it looks like u just woke up, but not hobo cuz then u just look 2 messy. and i totally agree with ur advancing in life crap, like my hair is long now, but once i get a real job i relle need to tidy up my hair.. for now (guys) should enjoy their hair while they still have it!!!!!!!lol .. and just work out a little and turn that flab into muscle, girls dont like skinny boys (they are too easy to beat up)

I have two long hair domestics, one who grooms himself to perfection and the other who could care less, and won't let me touch her with a brush. 1. It's hard to wash. (And dry)

2. It interferes with my athletics. Short hair is better for sprinting.

In your case I would start with a very long angel in the front perhaps starting at the shoulder and then working it up as time goes by . The longer the angel the better because you can put it up if you dont like it. But from my experience most of the time when people have never had side bangs or fringes and then they get them they don't know what to do with them and most of the time wind up hating it. It depend what shape face you have, if you have a long, square shaped face, a side fringe would look nice, if you have an oval face, get your hair feathered round your face, if you have a round face the get a curved fringe. Why don't you also get some layers put in to make your hair look different.

What i do is look at magasines and find clebrities with the same face shape and see what style they've got.

Alternately have a consultation with your hair stylist.

Hi, up until 3 months ago i was the same, i had long hair which i wore tied up all the time, if i did wear it down i had it in a side shade. I went to hair dresser and explained i wanted it differnet so she cut it in a concave and put in a left side fringe.

I was not so struck on it at first but everyone could not belive how differnt i looked and said it took years off me now i would never go back .....

So i would recommend geting a side fringe and if you dont like it you can alway wear it parted either side.....

But i will never have long hair again coz its the best thing i have ever done.

My advice is to speak to a really good hair dresser who will be able to advise you on what suits your face.... Good luck

Not only do you need lots of milk, but a well-balanced diet, including 3 to 5 fruits a day and 4 to 7 vegetables a day, as well. And don't forget the protein, either. I hope by "hard" hair, you mean strong, coarse hair.

Shampooing twice a day is very bad for your hair. Only if you roll around in mud everyday do you need to shampoo that often. Once a week is the most frequently you should shampoo. Many people will tell you otherwise, but that is all you honestly need. Shampooing that often wastes shampoo, water, the electricity to heat the water, and to wash the towels.

Generic oil does not help strengthen your hair. Specific types of oils, formulated by scientists to meet hair needs, do work. Both shampoo and conditioning products (oils) need to be high quality. I recommend Nexus products because I know them well, and they give excellent results. You will be able to see the results of their products fairly soon after you begin using them, maybe even a couple of weeks. You hair will be shinier, and after one or two bottles of shampoo, it will feel "cool" to the touch.

The towel after shampooing makes no difference, so you don't need it. Good luck.

Wash your hair once a day at most. That much washing rubs away the oils too much and causes your hair to thin and flake. If you really need to, wash it once a day. Otherwise, if you have regular hair, wash once every other day.

You are doing more things than me and my hair is way down my back.

Make sure you brush it out very well every night. Also getting maybe half an inch trimmed off will help it get going.

Maybe you shouldn't wash it in the morning and at night, the extra chemicals will damage your hair.

Someone told me that you should eat a lot of black sesame seeds, because they contain the vitamin that is found in your hair follicles, and may speed up the process of growing your hair long. Time will also help a lot...so just live it out for now, and pretty soon you'll find yourself with long hair. If you take a shower twice a day, it might be too much, and just make your hair fall out from the amount of chemicals. Washing it thoroughly once it day will be quite enough.

Washing your hair too much will take away its natural oils, and makes it brittle and dry. I suggest either using a mild/gentle shampoo or washing every other day.

wash your hair less, it'll strip it if you wash it so much. Take 500 mcg of Biotin a day to help it grow. Biotin is a special B vitamin that stimulates cell growth. massage your scalp too.

STOP washing your hair so often ... you are OVERCLEANING IT and that makes it 'weak' and it will break off, not 'grow long' the way you want. It's also why your hair is so 'hard' ...

Also don't wrap your hair with a hot towel after showering ... again, it won't help. If you want to grow long hair, drinking lots of milk isn't going to help either ... but try eating LOTS of Jello (a box a day in water as a sweet drink, or made into Jello) or use Knox Gelatin (it comes in little 'envelopes' and you can use two per day) ... the gelatin is basically the same thing your hair is, and your hair WILL grow faster, and be softer ... and you'll also have really nice hard fingernails.

You could get it layered so the shortest layer would be about shoulder length and the longest would be where it was and a few inbetween. Then when you straighten it you can curl it in slightly or flip it out slightly and both ways would look good, also mabye give you more volume

I had that problem too, and I cut my hair to a little beyond shoulder length with layers around my face from the chin down. I used to have to straighten my hair because it would get all frizzy but after I cut it it started drying differently so now most of the time I don't even need to do anything to it which is nice. You could go to a salon and tell them what you want, (shorter, more interesting, maybe doesn't need straightening if you find that annoying), and maybe they will have advice. Or, look through a hairstyle magazine (any magazine for that matter) and see one that might look nice on you, it's hard to say because I can't see the hair.

You seem to be on the right track with using olive oil and beeswax. I use jojoba and olive too, I never liked the beeswax. Make sure you use a good product for heat damage prevention. You should only be using heat once every week to two weeks. A lot of black women with bra strap length hair pre-condition hair before shampooing. I am sure you know you only need to wash once every two weeks or once every week. Shampoo your hair with a moisturizing shampoo. It's a good idea for you to follow the shampoo with deep conditioning or hot oil treatments. Use your scalp and hair oil at least three times a week. Make sure to apply conditioner and oils to ends...they get thirsty quick. Also, because of tangles it's best to wash hair in the shower and let the water run Down hair. Use a shower comb or wide tooth comb to detangle hair. Detangle from end up to root and be gentle. Also, I don't rub the towel back and forth over my hair after washing and conditioning because I don't want any more tangles to develop after i just finished..., I lightly dab my hair here and there and then I let it air dry. Several hair experts argue that you can keep your hair beautiful, strong and with healthy ends with only trimming two-three times a year. Well, I take my hair and dry out all extra moisture from hair.

Then I put in some hair gel (low alcohol content, so not to damage the hair), Section into about six parts, twist and fix to scalp with bobby pins.

Then I get under the dryer until dry.

I found this to be the best way to get that wavy look without the curling iron.

The curling iron causes too much damage.

I have very long hair (past my butt). The ends are ok, a little dry but ok. But the top of my hair is SO oily, and frizzy too. I shampoo and condition every other day, trying not to get to much conditioner on my scalp. I rotate what shampoos and conditioners i use regularly (switching between Head and Shoulders, Dove, Tresseme, and John Frieda) And i got my hair trimmed and added a few layers to not weigh it down as much. (look for a stylist with hair like yours -- only they can know your pain :-) Try getting something w/o phosphates. Ignore that last. I always have mine up in ponytails and braid part of it to wrap around the base, making it look like the ponytail is being held up by the braid. Nice and simple, too! If that isn't for you, there's always wearing it down. You'll get many compliments, I promise! Or you can pull some of it up away from your face and let the rest hang loose. It's up to your tastes, really. Ask people you know if they like how different hair styles frame your face or not. They'll be the best to answer this question.

The longest I've ever had my hair has been like an inch and a hlf, and for the past few years, it's been even shorter. I'm thinking of growing it long, just to kind of see how I look with long hair.

First off, I have no idea how to take really good care of my hair. I mean, I shampoo every day or so, but I always just stick with anti-dandruff. Is there something else I should be using or doing with it?

1. Don't just "let it grow." You'll look shaggy, and not in the good way. You should always have it styled. You can explain to the stylist that you're trying to grow it out and she'll help you keep it styled but without taking off too much length. If you don't get it styled and it grows out in one layer, you're hair will be shaped like a triangle - thicker and wider at the bottom and flat on the top of your head. This is not the look you want.

2. While it's relatively short, use a shampoo-conditioner combo. When it gets a little longer, you should use a light conditioner on it. It doesn't have to be one you put on in the shower. You could use a spray-on conditioner. If you're hair is thick or coarse, avoid shampooing every day. It will dry your hair and scalp out. Basically, the longer your hair the more moisture it needs to keep it looking healthy instead of scraggly.

3. Look for photos of hairstyles you like. Show them to your stylist and they can help you get the look.

Don't go from that long to super short!! I think you should ask your hair dresser to give you medium layers! So not too short but not way too long! And maybe some cute bangs would go great with it! Not straight bangs though, make them go from short to longer and if you're interested maybe you can dye your hair or add some highlights to it! You're highlights can be 4 shades lighter than whatever hair you have right now that would totaly bring out light in your face and make the whole look different for whatever haircut you end up getting!

I would thin it even more. You'll want to find someone who isn't afraid to go after it w/ their thinning shears.

One thing you may want to look into is layers. Start w/ long layers.. .like your longest layer beggining at your chin. If that doesn't do the trick, then shorten the layers. With layers, you'll still have the length.

I'll be honest.. I've got the same thing going on and the only way that my 'Mufasa Mane' has been manageable and consistently attractive is through excessive thinning and layers. It'll allow your hair to dry faster, too. I don't think it's anti-feminism... I do it for my husband... but also for me... I like feeling feminine. I've tried short and I felt severe and boy-ish.
