If you want hair to grow faster, you have to take supplements that work on your body chemistry to support hair's growth and strength at its genesis.....once it has grown out, it is just dead keratin

Try GNC, they make a supplement called "Nourishair" in formulas for men and women..they are HUGE pills and you have to take 2 daily. There is also a "Hair skin and nails" formula from Andrew Lessman that you can google, that has great ingredients and is easier to swallow, made by ProCaps labs. You can also take large doses of Biotin, sometimes called Vitamin H, take no less than 2500 micrograms daily to support healthy hair growth. It may take 6 to 8 weeks to see results.

Stop straightening it...it will damage it = ) I have hip-length hair and it took about 5 years from shoulder length...I'm afraid the best thing to do is just forget about it and let it grow...

Me too! Cut your ends once in a while. Also you can put regular conditioner and leave it in your hair if you do that it isn't all that frizzy

Keep your hair healthy. You need to eat well and take vitamins. Also, make sure you do not wash your hair too much or damage it with the flat iron and hair dryer. Trim off split ends regularly, but just the damaged ends. I wear my hair in braids and other low maintenance styles. I allow it to air dry and do not have it straightened unless I have a special occasion. When you do straighten your hair make sure that you do not use too much heat. If you do go with braids, twists, or Bantu knots, just make sure that they are not too tight or they will stress your hair and cause damage. When you do wash your hair, make sure that you condition it. You should deep condition it about every 4-6 weeks. Hope this helps. Good luck.

TRY GRAPESEED OIL INSTEAD. IT IS THE CLOSEST TO HUMAN SKIN OIL AND WILL NOT WEIGH IT DOWN AS MUCH. THE BEESWAX AND OLIVE OIL ARE BLOCKING THE PORES ON YOUR SCALP AND THAT WILL CAUSE IT TO SLOW DOWN ON THE GROWTH ALSO. MY DAUGHTER IS THE SAME.

*To straighten your hair you can apply hair straightener.

*You can even use hair dryers along with large round brush.

*Right after shampoo use a wide toothed comb to straighten your hair from ends to roots.

*Blow-dry your hair using fingers instead of a bush, until they are half dry. This helps in removing excess water from your hair helping you to blow dry your hair and it also saves time.

*Get a hair cut after every four to six weeks in different angles. This will help you reduce the excess volume.

*When your hair is wet brush them and apply hair spray. This will help you straighten extra curly portion of your hair and reduce the overall hair volume.

*Apply a conditioner or a hair product to protect your hair from against damages caused due to heat or sun.

*Rinse your hair with cold water after shampoo. This makes the hair smooth and closes the cuticles and your hair wouldn't get a frizzy effect.

*Use flat irons to unlock your curls. Avoid doing it regularly.

*If you notice static electricity in your hair, dip your fingers in water and dab your head. When you dab your hair with wet fingers, ensure you hair are not extremely wet.

Get your hair trimmed on a regular basis, it promotes growth. Try not to straighten it very often, it does damage to the hair. Then wait, for what seems to be an eternity, but it really isn't. The less you think about it the better off you will be.

You seem to be on the right track with using olive oil and beeswax. I use jojoba and olive too, I never liked the beeswax. Make sure you use a good product for heat damage prevention. You should only be using heat once every week to two weeks. A lot of black women with bra strap length hair pre-condition hair before shampooing. I am sure you know you only need to wash once every two weeks or once every week. Shampoo your hair with a moisturizing shampoo. It's a good idea for you to follow the shampoo with deep conditioning or hot oil treatments. Use your scalp and hair oil at least three times a week. Make sure to apply conditioner and oils to ends...they get thirsty quick. Also, because of tangles it's best to wash hair in the shower and let the water run Down hair. Use a shower comb or wide tooth comb to detangle hair. Detangle from end up to root and be gentle. Also, I don't rub the towel back and forth over my hair after washing and conditioning because I don't want any more tangles to develop after i just finished..., I lightly dab my hair here and there and then I let it air dry. Scalp massages are also beneficial for the scalp nerves which helps hair growth. Use a clarifying shampoo every two-three months to get rid of build-up. As for trimming, doing it too much will stunt your hair growth. Several hair experts argue that you can keep your hair beautiful, strong and with healthy ends with only trimming two-three times a year. You may want to choose a good hair care regime and a good hair care line to stick to. From asking female relatives and friends and from friends I have discovered in online groups, I gather that Dr. Miracles, Organics, Elasta QP, Mane N Tail, Nexxus, Creme of Nature, and especially Keracare are some of the best lines.

I have used Olive Manon Virgin Oil since young and it is indeed very effective for promoting hair growth and moisturing skin. I was introduced to it by my mum who's also an avid user. Never really had hair and skin quite dry when I was young, and I do see the difference now after years of using it. The method I was introduced to is called an Oil Pack. You'll have to massage the oil onto the skin and then keep it under wraps with a hot towel for about half an hour before showering. After shower and before sleep, apply gently on the affected area.

You may want to try their FREE PURE OLIVE OIL SAMPLES to see if it works for you lor...
