You and I are in the same boat. This is what I've found to work best:

What you need:

-Sunsilk De-Frizz Shampoo $3.25

-Sunsilk De-Frizz Conditioner $3.25

-Sunsilk De-Frizz 24-hour leave in $3.75

(You can visit their site and they always have coupons)

-Waterproof hairbrush or thick tooth comb

What to do:

In the shower, wash your hair with the shampoo (duh =D) and then use a healthy amount of conditioner. Let your hair "marinate" in the conditioner while you wash your bod. Before you rinse out the conditioner, gently brush your hair starting at the bottom and working your way up to your scalp. If you start at the bottom, you immensely decrease your chance of yanking at any tangles, which can help reduce split ends and frizz. Rinse your hair and once you get out, apply the 24-hour leave-in. For your length of hair, a quarter-size dab will do, if you need more, go for it! One thing I LOVE about sunsilk leave-in, it doesn't leave that gunky build-up feeling that others do. It doesn't even feel like you have anything in your hair. Since your hair is so curly, I wouldn't recommend blow drying it. Just towel dry before the leave-in, and go about your way. The de-frizz sunsilk is made for curly hair and it's the miracle product I was looking for!

As far as your split ends are concerned, I would recommend taking a trip to the salon and having them take about a half inch off. Just to get the dead ends off. Once a hair is split, it keeps splitting...sort of like a run in hose, so the sooner you can get them cut off, the better your chances of saving your hair.

Hope this has helped!

The best thing for long hair is a good trim

believe me I was reluctant and it feels much better now.

You should try specially formulated shampoo's and conditioners for frizz prone hair-a fave is John Fridas range.

You might want to trim the ends a bit, just to even it out. You don't need to cut off a lot, just like maybe a half inch or less. For frizz, try using a shine spray, like from garnier frutise. Also keep your hair moisturized, like with dove shampoo and conditioner.

You really should get your ends trimmed to keep your hair healthy. Once they start to split, they can split pretty far.

You can use olive oil in your hair to give it some moisture. Just heat it a little and put it on your hair while you're in the bath and leave on for 15 minutes or so. It really helps. When your hair is dry, you can also put a little olive oil on the ends to keep it from frizzing. But do get it trimmed every 6-8 weeks.

bath and body has this amazing hair cream thats galled glossing cream and it works wonderful on curly hair. when your hair is damp put about a nickle size blob in your palm and rub palms togeather then start at the ends on your hair and work teh cream up, this not only protects your hair but adds shine, defrizzs and your hair will curl better

I used to have really really long hair mines straight but its still very similar. I recomend a nice trim and maybe a few highlights, also for frizz you could products that defrizz you hair. Mr bros girlfriend has a really good one that doesnt make your hair greesy (sorry dont know the name of the product) but theres so many other products you can use as well as other pretty styles for long hair.
