I used to prefer guys with long hair when I was in high school. Now I prefer short hair. Even the close cropped ones are ok.

I think this has to depend on the guy. Some guys look great with long hair, some don't. My husband looks better with average hair nowadays but wears a moustache and a goutee type thing and thats good on him.
