Why is it that most men prefer their women with long hair? How do you feel about this, guys?

When the subject of hair arises, my boyfriend always weasels in this remark. "I think it'd look better longer."

I'm a petite, decent-looking woman with a tiny face, and short hair accents my features appropriately. I get complimented on it wherever I go, and I really like my unique style.

It hurts my feelings that my boyfriend isn't keen on it. He doesn't dislike it, just remains indifferent, but insists it would look better long. It irritates me that he would go with the default answer that brainless guys give. He isn't visualizing how long hair would look on me, he is just saying that he likes it better in general. Since he prefers long hair, he wants me to have it, but I feel this is SO stupid, since short hair is so much more becoming on me! Yet he fails to see that, because he "wishes" it were long.

Most intelligent people say something like, "You have to have a really pretty face to wear it like that."

But he doesn't see it this way %26amp; that bugs me.

There is nothing wrong with having a prefernce for a type of person - short, tall, blonde, ginger, brunette, thin, fat.....

He has a natural preference and whatever he says, long hair will always be his natural preference! If he honestly feels long hair looks better but is with you even though yours is short then he obviously finds you attractive as you are 鈥?he just thinks you鈥檇 look even more attractive with long hair. This is one of those situations where LOVE and ATTRACTION are very different 鈥?he loves you just as much regadless of the length of your hair but would he find you more attractive with long hair? Yes, I think so!

I prefer girls with long hair 鈥?my wife has long hair. And look at the sexiest women in the world 鈥?9 out of 10 have long hair!

If it bugs you that much, then leave him, but if that鈥檚 all the two fo you have to worry about you鈥檝e got it pretty good.

(and it is stereotyping, but women with very short hair are seen as lesbians, and the number of gay clubs I have been to I'd say there is a foundation for that generalisation)

the shorter a girls hair, the more she looks like a boy or a lesbian (even if it is styled correctly), even if a guy wont say those words, its subconscious. look at rapunzel, she had a prince chasing after her.

He's just saying really what his preference is... it does not necessarily mean he does not appreciate your hair or your looks... he is with you for a reason.

lol he is a guy, when have guys ever been into hair that much! If they are, usually gay or they are smart ;D Maybe he sees something in you with long hair that no one else does? hmmm? Short hair on girls dose make them look more boyish or have a fat face. Halle Barry pulled it off but when she grew it out, WOW! Your problem here is look at your comment on guys. Brainless? You need to work on you first. Take some time to understand guys a little better. Sorry it hurt your feelings but he is being honest with you. Maybe everybody else is just bs'ing you. So in all long hair on girls is best.(doesnt have to be that way all the time ya know)

It makes a great handle when having sex! See a woman won't let her hair grow out to please her man but expects a guy to change everything for her.I love long hair on women as well and when my ex wife would get mad at me the first thing she would do is cut all her hair off but if I even thought about cutting my hair she have a fit.My hair is way past my shoulders.Good luck.
