How to curl long hair?

i have long thick hair i have tried curling iron and hot rollers these do not work is there any other way i could do curl such as techniques or products?

it depends on how curly you want it to be... for that jessica simpson look you need a 1 inch curling iron. also, product is a must for long, thick hair! Redken Spray Starch works really well while you're curling your hair. When you're finished spray all over with a firm hold hair spray(Paul Mitchell Freeze and Shine is great!) When you curl your hair take 1 in sections and wrap it around your iron, so it kinda spirals up and down the iron. By wrapping the hair you can go all the way to the root and it can be curled evenly. After you release your hair don't touch it... just spray it. Once you've finished curling give it a good spray and leave it for a couple minutes... you want to make sure that your hair is cool. Or, if you're not going anywhere for a while than just leave it in the ringlet form... then when you're ready to leave run your fingers through it... kinda separate the curls... it will turn out great... then spray it again! hope it works!!

The only way I can curl my hair is to use the Caruso hair curling system. They are foam rollers that you steam and roll into your hair. It says to leave them in for ten to fifteen minutes. I do a half hour or longer. Before I take them out I spray my hair with Rave hairspray. This is not the best hairspray for your hair, but if used only a couple times a week it's ok. Then when you comb through the hair it will hold the curls.

I also have long thick hair, but mine is curly, but my friend has straight hair and I tried something new on her. I had her wash her hair and then before it dried I put gel in it and I put it up in about 12 tiny buns on her head. Then I hairsprayed it then blew dry it for about 15 minutes. Her hair is very long, longer than mine-like below belt line. Anyway it tuned out curly, not real curly, but curly. But you have to blow dry it for a while to get it completely dry, or very close.

im in the same boat.i have blonde...long..thick hair.just make sure its completely dry and do smaller sections...it takes me 4 hours to completely spiral curl it and about and hour and a half to curl the ends..hope this heklps..good luck
