Should I chop off my long hair?

im 13 and my hair is dark, thin and naturally straight hair. i dont have any split ends and i dont have any layers or bangs. it is till my elbows.what should i do with it? my friends tell me to cut it as i have a long face shape and you know it kind of drags my face down. what kind of haircut should i get. idont want to get it short maybe the length of my armpit please help me and send pictures.

I would cut it armpit length with a fringe and lots of layers! it will look awesome!

You can keep longer hair but just get like 4 -5 inched cut off. Start with some long layers till you get used to it and then maybe on your next cut trim up a little more(if you chose). You could get some bangs too or maybe some longer layered ones. You will feel like you just lost 10 pounds off your head. Have fun with deciding. There are a lot of cute styles out there.
