Blow dry your hair upside down and use a big round metal brush on your roots to finish it off. Use the finishing creme to smooth out the fuzzies and for your hair to look like it's in control. Finish with hairspray to lock it into place. You can also use a straightener to bump up the roots, or a big curling iron.
