Women's opinion on guys with long hair (and how they manage it)?

I've decided to grow my hair out and I'm willing to do what it takes to manage it...IE blowdry and yes even use a Sedu flat Iron...I will also use a lot of products along the way to protect it, but I just do not know what thermal protectant to use before I blow dry my hair...I will be more than likely be using BioSilk Therapy before using a flat Iron...and use PHYTO's brand along the way as far as the need for heavy moisture is concerned.

But my 2nd question is, what do women think of (straight) guys with long hair....

and what is your reaction when you see a guy and notice the fact that he has used a flat iron and etc...do you think it takes away from his masculinity?

I personally detest the look of a man with long hair. That being said, being well groomed is always a plus. You can't generally tell a person's product choices by the style they wear unless he or she talks at length about them. I would suggest (if you decide you must have long hair) to wear it casually, no matter what your grooming routine, meaning once you get out into public your attitude should convey that's the way you rolled out of bed. I think it's a confidence thing...if you don't call attention to your appearance (verbally, or with tics like constantly fussing/fixing) it suggests that you are confident with how you look. And, as is generally acknowledged, confidence is attractive in a man.

Guys really shouldn't be doing that much with their hair. Straightners are strictly for girls only unless you are either gay or European....

alot of women like guys with long hair....some are really hot!! but then again some look really bad with it, its how you carry it that matters...comb and wash it really good...blowdrying damages your hair.

Long hair can be sexy...it depends on the guy.

lots of my guy friends have long hair. dont bother with stupid products...the message a guy with long hair sends out is he doesnt care he is laid back.

I like long hair on men. But it should be looked after, that means, when growing it out, get it trimmed as you do so. Also I don`t think men should really be using flat iron etc. Long hair on men should be looked after, but natural. But it up to the individual....cant think of any men I know who do though....

For me honestly it is a HUGE turn off. I can not think of one man I have ever thought was sexy with long hair. It's just my personal preference, everyone is different, but for me It's VERY unattractive and feminine

Dont get me wrong its good that u wanna look nice but there a fine line to doing your hair nice and being vein.

I say stick with the short hair cuts!

I absolutely hate long hair on guys. It reminds me of Fabio and hes sooo nasty. When i see a guy with long hair that he straightens it using a Sedu like me and biosilk, i get turned off. too high maintenance. and yes i think it takes away from his masculinity and makes him look vain and kinda stupid. I think wow, this guy cares too much what he looks like and thats not healthy in my opinion. I like natural beauty. But thats my opinon. what matters is what you think. you'll want a girl whose attracted to what you like.

I think guys with long hair look really good. However.....The part where you are taking to Much care of it is where it goes wrong with me. It looks good on guys that have that type of personality, and I cannot imagine a pretty boy with this type of hairstyle, and pulling it off properly.

I like manly men. Long hair on a manly man is great. Pretty boys NAH!

if your gonna grow your hair long, don't use a flat iron or alot of chemicals. long hair is better if you can run your hands through it without crunching or getting your hands greasy. Just make sure you get it trimmed regularly so it stays healthy. some guys look really hot with long hair, but some look like they are stuck in the 80's. hope you look hot with yours

I grew up with lots of guys that had long hair. And I have to be honest, I loved it then, but not so much now. I'd rather have a guy with short, natural hair than a guy who spends more time on his hair than I do!!!

My boyfriend has hair that lies about 2 inches past his shoulders. I think he looks hott! Its not too thick and has a little curl to it when it gets to the ends. I love it! Im so jealous too cuz he uses the cheapest shampoo and just lets his hair air dry and it always looks great. I love guys with long hair. Just keep it nice and undercontrol and its all good.

Personally i think that long hair on guys looks okay to just above shoulder length ( Bobbed Type Hairstyle) and think that you should just wash your hair with a good shampoo and conditioner, lightly towel dry it and brush it or comb into desired shape and let it air dry to accentaute any natural waves or curls in it

you should also put a deep conditioner on it every month and get your hair trimmed every two months to remove any split ends

I take it that as you mention straigthener's that your hair is either curly or very way

I personally would not use straigteners as heat can damage your hair, I normally use the Largest rollers possible to give Curly hair more volume and less curl. But as you are a guy you probably would not entertain this
