The physical appearance of Jesus was never important to me, only His heart and spirit. I would imagine He was probably average and modest in appearance, since his goal was to teach people humility. Just as he was born poor among men.

I don't think they had cameras then. I suspect the artists used the info of primary sources to draw sketches. I find it funny that he is portrayed as a blue-eyed Jew when he should have had mid-east characteristics...and maybe those were common back then. Doesn't make me believe any less. I guess I just always thought it was wrong to try and picture God. I prefer to just feel the love...and if you seek it, you CAN feel it!!

I believe He did. Mainly, because I had a vision of Jesus in the sky one day; several years ago. And He had on a scarlet and white robe, and He had what looked like long, brown or black hair. I am not sure why, if there was a particular reason. I do not particularly care for long hair on a man. But I most certainly respect Jesus in every way. But there is one thing which confuses me also. Paul told us in 1 Cor. 11:14, that long hair on a man is a shame unto him. But there was most certainly nothing shameful about Jesus Christ. Why would Paul say such a thing? It sounds contradictory to the life of Jesus. I know that some men who have long hair care for it decently and orderly; and there are some who look like wild beasts. I am certain that Jesus cared for Himself properly, and was a fine model for us all to go by in every way. I am presently searching for an answer to this remark made by Paul to the Corinthians. I am praying for God to give me understanding in this matter. But I do believe that Jesus had long hair.
