Would side bangs/side swept bangs look nice on straight long hair?

I have straight long hair, but think the side bang / side swept bang (difference?) looks really cute. I've been trying to find a picture on the internet of someone who has a side bang and straight long hair to see how it would look, but I can't. Do side bangs notrk with my kind of hair? I really don't want to take the time in the morning to curl it slightly, so normally my hair would be straight. What I would really like to see is a picture, because I have a hair appointment coming up soon and it would be nice to see what it would look like/have a reference for her. Also: I've never had bangs before, and a while back my mom got them (she had never had them before either) and it looked really bad (like it curled a little, but her hair has slight natural curls and mine doesn't). Is this normal?

One more thing: (I know this is a multi-question question) If you wouldn't reccomend bangs, what would you reccomend? And when you answer, PLEASE include a picture, I'm not a good visualizer

nd i think sidebangs would look great on you and u don't have to curl them everyday, u can just leave them straight for a sleek look.

im sorry that i dont have an exact picture but if u look up americas next top model and you look at the last seasons winner carride-not shure how to spell her name exactly. but if u look her up and look at her pictures she has side bangs that would look cute with straight hair and also make shure that u tell the hair dresser that u want them long and then if u want them shorter u can just get them a little shorter.

The 3rd hairstyle on the top row is straight hair with a side swept bang, and even though its layered you can kinda tell what it looks like.

yes...it looks awesome take it from someone who has them and i have really straight hair...just make sure you dont cut them to short cut them right under your eye...trust me..sorry i have no pics.
